megatrax music + innovation

SNS helps Megatrax turn up the volume in production efficiency and speed.

globalSAN X-4 gives Megatrax a sound solution.

Los Angeles based Megatrax is a premier production music library with an ever-expanding catalog of fresh and original sounds. Their high-impact, custom sound has made them a leading choice for broadcast networks and Hollywood studios for everything from movie trailers to music CDs.

Megatrax is in such high demand that they can have 10 to 15 projects in progress simultaneously. To keep up with production, they required a system that would let them move projects instantly among 3 studios and review/edit projects outside the studio. The solution SNS developed included 4 globalSAN™ X-4s, Q:COMPLETE™ premium support and on-site installation. It was a robust, fast, bullet proof solution that required minimal management time.

"The SNS globalSAN™ X-4 system has improved our workflow and increased the speed of our productions. Now that we have it, we wonder how we ever managed without it!"

— Derek Jones, Audio Engineer, Megatrax

TIPS FROM THE SNS LAB:

Excessive heat can have undesirable effects on your workstations and storage system, so be sure to check the temperature of your machine room or closet. Early signs of heat stress include general instability and sluggish performance. If this continues for too long it could cause the system to shut down and hardware failures. In general, your hardware should reside in a 40°F to 72°F (5°C to 22°C) environment.
